Delhi Public School Nacharam Gleaming with Greenery Award

Telugu super news,Hyderabad,April 24,2023:It’s a moment of pride for Delhi Public School, Nachm to receive the First Prize in schools category of the 7th Garden Festival and the First Urban Farming Festival,2023, organized by Horticulture Dept., Government of Telangana on 15th April,2023 held at Public Gardens, Hyderabad.

The Chief Guest Sri.S.Niranjan Reddy,Hon’ble Minister, Agriculture & Horticulture, Dept,Telangana and Guest of Honour Dr.Sri Palla Rajeshwar RTeddy,MLC- Chairman, Telangana Rythu Bandhu Samithi, graced the occasion.
School has been a recipient of multiple awards in the past and this one is yet another feather to add in our cap. IGBC has awarded DPS, Nacharam with a Platinum Award. The Telangana Horticulture Department has also previously honoured DPS with Haritha Haram awards consecutively for two years.

All these awards go much to the credit of our visionary Chairman, Mr.M.Komariah and lead motivator Sr.Principal and Deputy Director, R&R Dept., Mrs.Sunitha Rao,who have always been motivating students and the staff to increase the green belt in and around the campus by urging them to do their bit in conserving the environment, thus promoting sustainable development goals.

Every year the management generously donates hundreds of saplings to the students, staff and parents to promote the green initiative. The campus also houses multiple gardens like the Birthday Garden, the Herbal Garden, The Fruit Garden, Tyre Garden, etc. Each garden is maintained with a specific agenda. Students are encouraged to donate saplings for the Birthday Garden on their birthdays.The Herbal Garden showcases a variety of herbal plants.

Similarly the Fruit Garden is a wonderful display of several fruit bearing trees. Tyre Garden is an aesthetically appealing place which exhibits a variety of flowers planted in tyres of different shapes and sizes.The green initiative was extended into the classrooms by creating a green corner in every room.

School leaves no stone unturned to realize the green initiatives and will make sure that the goals are achieved. All these green initiatives taken by school were acknowledged by the erstwhile Telangana Government by choosing our school for this prestigious award.
