Telugu super news,Hyderabad,15th, July 2023: Without skill one is nil. Youth must develop an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset for success, said Ch. Malla Reddy, Minister for Labour, Employment and Factories, Government of Telangana. He was speaking as the Chief Guest at the World Youth Skills Day 2024 organised by Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) here at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium at Hyderabad.

TASK has played an important role in providing skills for youth, give them industry relevant training and equip them for employment. Minister Ch. Malla Reddy said that your education is incomplete without honing one’s skills.

Developing and enhancing your skills takes you ahead. Sky’s the limit for you, he said addressing students at the gathering. Time, discipline, planning, hard work and skills are essential for success, he said.

New ideas, new thinking leads to success, he opined. With many industries coming to Telangana and setting up industries in several districts, TASK today has centres in Hyderabad, Warangal, Sircilla, Khammam, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Siddipet and a community centre in Chanchalguda as well as a tribal skilling centre in Asifabad.

With the skilling ecosystem of Telangana, the rural students are able to enhance their employability prospects by improving their skills. Today, they are not only able to acquire jobs but are also able to give jobs to others, he said.

TASK signed MoUs with ICICI Foundation, Tata Strive, Cybersecurity Centre of Excellence (CoE), CareerPedia, Edunet Foundation, Mahindra University and Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages (HCCB) to train students in Telangana to make them more employable.

Speaking about TASK initiative by the Telangana government, Minister Malla Reddy said that over the last 9 years TASK has skilled over 8,37,000 students, working with over 80+ corporate partners offering over 110+ programs in over 700+ colleges.

Last year TASK placed over 30,000 local youth with leading companies across Telangana. With a maximum salary of 15 lakhs p.a. and an average salary of 2,00,000 p.a.

Speaking earlier, Telangana Youth Services Minister V. Srinivas Goud said that due to initiatives of the Telangana government led by K. Chandrasekhar Rao and IT and Industries Minister K. T. Rama Rao many multinationals have made Hyderabad their home.

The government’s focus is to generate employment for the youth of Telangana. The initiatives like TASK are skilling the youth and making them employment ready.

Telangana state is in the forefront of progress and development in India. Telangana’s per capita income is at Rs. 3,17,115 compared to India’s at Rs. 1,70,620, Minister Srinivas Goud said.

Earlier, MP Dr. Gaddam Ranjit Reddy in his address stressed on the need to sharpen skills. Telangana’s skilling ecosystem has been able to give youth employment, he said.

Motivational speaker and former Cricketer Krishnamachari Srikanth addressed the youth and said that the first thing required for success is guts.

He urged students to have a positive attitude and self belief. Teamwork is the most important skill, he said. It is more important than individual talent. Individual talent is of no value if your team doesn’t perform, Srikanth said.

Play as a team, teamwork and team effort are most important to succeed. Giving an analogy of Cricket, Srikanth said that your century of runs is not of value if your team loses. Have tremendous self belief and energy and enjoy what you do. Do whatever you do with passion, he said.

The event was attended by Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner to Telangana; Smt. Rani Kumudini, Special Chief Secretary – Labour, Govt. of Telangana; Telangana; Smt. V. Karuna, Secretary – Education, Govt. of Telangana and others.

Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge (TASK) was setup as a Telangana state initiative for skilling students for employability, livelihood and entrepreneurship.

TASK not only skills students but ensures faculty ups killing too. It has skilled 16600 plus faculty members in both technical skills as well as in facilitation and pedagogical skills.
