Jindal Stainless suppliesstainless steel for Dr B R Ambedkar’s 125-ft statue in Hyderabad
Telugu super News,Hyderabad, April 18, 2023: Jindal Stainless has supplied more than 300 metric tonnes (MT) of stainless steel for the construction of Dr B R Ambedkar’s 125-ft statue in Hyderabad. The grand statue was unveiled on Dr Ambedkar’s birth anniversary against the backdrop of the new circular Secretariat Building Complex in Hyderabad by the Chief Minister of Telangana, Mr K Chandrasekhar Rao. The grandson of Dr Ambedkar, Mr Prakash
Ambedkar, was also present on the occasion.
Jindal Stainless has supplied grade 304 hot-rolled stainless steel in a thickness range of 12 mm – 32 mm. Stainless
steel has been used in the armature structure of the statue. For this project, the stainless steel was suppliedduring
the period of March– June 2022.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director, Jindal Stainless, Mr Abhyuday Jindal, said, “We are honoured to be
a part of this iconic project of the Telangana government. It is a symbol of pride for our country as we launch Dr
Ambedkar’s statue, a visionary who was instrumental in scripting the Constitution of India.”
Thestatue has been built on a 50-feet high pedestal with a ground floor measuring 172 feet and a terrace.It will
also have an ancillary building, a museum, and a gallery exhibiting important events during the lifetime of Dr
Ambedkar.
