Glenmark Pharma Raises Awareness about Hypertension through a walkathon and BP camp

Telugu super news,India, May 24, 2023:Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Glenmark), an innovation-driven, global pharmaceuticals company, in association with CSI, Telangana, organized an awareness rally on World Hypertension Day at the Botanical Garden in Kondapur, Hyderabad. The event was aimed at educating the public about the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring and raising awareness about hypertension.

The rally commenced at 7:00 AM and attracted a crowd of over 150 participants, including health enthusiasts, medical professionals, and citizens. The event featured a 2.5 km walkathon, aimed at promoting physical activity as a preventive measure against hypertension.

Additionally, Dr VS Ramchandra delivered a talk on hypertension awareness, discussing its causes, symptoms, and preventive measures. A blood pressure check-up camp was also set up, providing participants with an opportunity to monitor their blood pressure levels.

Hypertension, commonly known as high blood pressure, affects approximately one in three individuals worldwide, with alarming statistics revealing that almost 50% of people remain unaware of their condition. This rally intended to shed light on the pressing issue of hypertension and emphasize the significance of early detection and monitoring, starting as early as the age of 18.
