Wrestling champion Geeta Phogat wishes to make She-Hulk her gym Buddy

Gold Medalist and Olympian wrestler Geeta Phogat shared an open letter in appreciation of the recently released Marvel Studios’ She-Hulk: Attorney at Lawon Disney+ Hotstar. Phogat, an icon of women empowerment and inspiration to millions of girls, said she resonates with superwoman She-Hulk and wants to be gym buddies with her.  

“Marvel ki sabse nayi superhero ko dekhke laga ki yaar ye bilkum humare type ki hero hai! Ekdum hatti khatti aur lambi chaudi, mujhe to She-Hulk ko apna gym buddy banana hai! Uski Or meri life bhi dekhaa jaaye to kaafi ek jaisi hai,” said Phogat in her open letter. 

Exploring the legacy of the Incredible Hulk in the cinematic universe for the first time since 2008, the series will introduce Emmy Award-winning actress Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters, AKA She-Hulk. With her specialisation in superhuman-oriented legal cases, Tatiana Maslany will navigate her new smashing green persona and her role as a lawyer in the series.

Along with Tatiana, the nine-episode comedy series stars Ginger Gonzaga as Nikki Ramos, Jennifer’s best friend and paralegal; Jameela Jamil as superhuman Titania, She-Hulk’s nemesis and Tim Roth as surprise new client Emil Blonsky/ Abomination. The series also features special appearances by Mark Ruffalo as Jennifer’s cousin Bruce Banner/ Hulk, and Benedict Wong as Wong. Directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia, the series has been written by Jessica Gao and produced by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro and Jessica Gao.

ZEE5 to premiere Arun Vijay’s Blockbuster hit flick ‘Yaanai’ on August 19, 2022

Zee5 officially announces that it will premiere Arun Vijay-Priya Bhavani Shankar starrer “Yaanai” on August 19, 2022. The movie, released last month, opened to positive reviews and became one of the commercially successful box office hits. Written and directed by filmmaker Hari, the maker of blockbuster commercial entertainers, the movie was well received by audiences from all walks of life. Zee5 is now bringing this most emotional action-packed family entertainer to every home.

The movie had many brilliant flashes, among which the single-shot action sequence performed by Arun Vijay won a stupendous response. Besides, Yaanai got acclaim for the strong comeback of director Hari, who won the appreciation for catering to the pulse of audiences with the right mix of action, emotions, sentiments, romance, comedy, and family elements. Furthermore, the musical score by GV Prakash Kumar garnered a good response. The stellar performances of the entire star cast are yet another embellishment to the tale.

After releasing in the theatres on May 13, 2022, Anik Datta next, is all set for its digital premiere. Come August 25, ZEE5, India’s largest homegrown OTT and multilingual storyteller will release the biggest blockbuster Bengali film of 2022, Aparajito – The Undefeated on the platform. Produced by Firdausl Hasan and Probal Halder, the film is a tribute to master filmmaker Satyajit Ray and portrays his struggle to make the international classic Pather Panchali. 

Shot in black and white, Aparajito is set in early 1950’s in Calcutta giving it a vintage feel. The movie unfolds the story of a man called Aparajito Ray (Apu), depicting the original Satyajit Ray who is set out to reconstruct his struggles to make the film Pather Panchali. The movie traces the journey of Apu, from wide-eyed child to intellectually curious teenager and the growing complexity of his relationship with his mother. The movie further highlights his battles and the trips he makes to producers and money lenders to garner funds for the movie. Aparajito – The Undefeated narrative follows a realistic chronology, close to how Ray did it himself.

The ZEE Network has always aimed at entertaining its audience and now, it is back with yet another thrilling weekend blockbuster. For all the spidey fans the echoing mantra of ‘With Great Power, Comes Great responsibility’ is set to come true on their television screens with the Indian Television Premiere of the most celebrated Spider-Man film- Spider-Man: No Way Home on 21st August. The newly released and widely loved film brings the much-awaited introduction to the concept of multiverse, increasing entertainment 3 folds with the presence of three spideys.

 Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire certainly united the love of all generations, making all Spider-Man fans scream their hearts out seeing the three Peter Parkers together fighting the evil. The film takes nostalgia a notch higher, bringing back multiple villains from the franchise including Electro (Jamie Foxx), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina), etc. It was certainly not a surprise that the film proved to be the biggest hit of 2021, becoming the highest box-office grosser. Spider-Man: No Way Home will premiere this Sunday, August 21, on &flix at 12 Noon and 9 PM in English and ZEE Cinemalu at 12 PM in Telugu. Wipro Consumer Care Announces Its 7th edition of the Santoor Scholarship Program, 2022-23

Wipro Consumer Care in collaboration with Wipro Cares has launched the seventh edition of the Santoor Women’s Scholarship Program in the States of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. For the first time, the scholarship will also be launched in Chhattisgarh. Santoor Scholarship aims to financially support girls from disadvantaged backgrounds who are keen to pursue their higher education, 

Students in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Chhattisgarh who have passed 10th and 12th grade from a Government school/college and have enrolled in a degree program with a duration of minimum three years, at a recognised institution are eligible to apply for the scholarship. 

Commenting on the initiative Mr S Prasanna Rai, Vice President – Marketing, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, said, “This year in total we are offering 1800 scholarships in four States. We have enhanced the scholarship in the 3 states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana from 300 scholarship per state to 500 per state. For the first time, we are launching the scholarship in Chhattisgarh and will be providing 300 scholarships. Over the last six years more than 4500 deserving women students from under privileged background have been able to pursue their dream education and become a graduate.”

Mirchi 95 Hyderabad brings back ‘Hasana Zaroori Hai’ Season 2; Hunts for the funniest Hyderabadi

Mirchi, India’s no. 1 city-centric music and entertainment company, launched the second season for one of its most loved properties – Hasana Zaroori Hai. Through ‘Hasana Zaroori Hai’ Mirchi taps the potential of the steadily growing comedy circuit in Hyderabad by providing a platform for people to showcase their talent. Tejomayi, a mother of a 7-year-old, a teacher, and an active member of the local open mic groups, won the ultimate title of ‘Hasana Zaroori Hai Season 2.’ The winner was presented with an exclusive opportunity to host Mirchi 95’s evening radio show for an entire day and make the listeners of Hyderabad smile.

Kick starting this season, Mirchi invited people from all walks of life to participate by sharing videos of their comedy acts via radio and digital channels. Mirchi received a lot of hilarious entries which were then shortlisted by Mirchi RJ Shadab, a household name, known for his eccentric and quirky evening show – Nakko Shadab. Through multiple rounds of elimination 3 participants entered the finale- Vikas aka Frustrated Hyderabadi, Kashish Aneja, and Tejomayi. The shortlisted participants were mentored by Mirchi RJ Shadab and other famous comics of Hyderabad, who helped the participants with their comic approach, timing, writing, and stage presence. After three days of rigorous mentoring, the finalists were given a chance to perform their final sets in the Mirchi studio, which was broadcasted on Instagram Live. The chucklesome sets of the comics created a laughter riot amongst those who joined the session. Tejomayi’s excellent comic timing and punch lines received the highest scores and voting from Mirchi RJ Shadab and the other mentors resulting in her winning the show’s title. Moreover, the city’s favorite comedian Rajasekha Mamidana who was also one of the mentors has given her the opportunity to also do the opening act for his next show.
