Vidyaranyam Veda Pathasala molding young minds with holistic education blended in Vedic wisdom

Telugu super news,Hyderabad, February 26th, 2024: Vidyaranyam Veda Pathasala, an initiative that highlights holistic education steeped in Vedic wisdom aims to cultivate 500 well-rounded professionals who appreciate ancient culture in coming 5-6 years.

Driven with a higher purpose and objective led by Madugula Shashibhushana Somayaji, Vidyaranyam commemorated its 6th Varshikotsavam at Chippalapally village, Kandukur Mandal in Ranga Reddy District. This solemn yet important event was celebrated by honoring professionals from various walks of life, musical display featuring instruments like Mridangam & Flute and eloquent Padavinayas. Physical prowess was also displayed through displays of Danda and Kalari Payattu etc. by young students.   

Established in 2015 with two students, Vidyaranyam draws inspiration from Shri Vidyaranya Swamy’s teaching and aims to grow the Veda Pathasala to 500 students in next 5-6 years. The fully residential program that spans 12-14 years is offered at NO cost, for each student to complete Ghanantham and become a Ghanapati in one Veda; reflecting their commitment to making high-quality Vedic education accessible to deserving individuals[SS1] .

The Goshala is another initiative that exemplifies their effort in preserving indigenous Indian cow breeds &increase the goshala strength to 150 cows from 15-20 cows now. This effort ensures self-sufficiency in providing nutritious food such as milk, butter, paneer, and ghee for young students.

Vidyaranyam has integrated formal education with the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), allowing students to complete the 10th or 12th grade by the time they graduate as Ghanapati. Beyond academics, students engage in various activities, including classical music, sports, athletics, games, martial arts, and essential life skills, fostering holistic growth. At the heart of Vidyaranyam’s philosophy is the belief that Veda Adhyayana is not merely a career choice; it is a sacred duty, a core responsibility that goes beyond the realms of professional pursuits.

The 6th Varshikotsavam was held in the august presence of eminent personalities who have made significant contributions and include K. Varaprasad Reddy, Founder-Shantha Biotech, Ale Shyam Kumar Garu, Akhila Bharatiya Dharma Jagarana Saha Pramukh,Dr.Vedakumar Manikonda – Founder Deccan Land, Archaeologist, Environmentalist and Educationalist, Shri Narendra Kapre – Rig Veda Ghanapati,
