The platform today unveiled the teasers of three new Indian shows – Aar Ya Paar, Lootere, and Taaza Khabar, promising an exciting content lineup for the fans to enjoy. 

Aar Ya Paar, which marks celebrated director Siddharth Sengupta’s second venture with Disney+ Hotstar, brings a tribal man’s struggle against the modern world and its corrupt political and financial machinery. It features a talented cast comprising Aditya Rawal, Sumeet Vyas, Patralekhaa, Ashish Vidyarthi and Shilpa Shukla

Bringing an all-new take on destiny and life, Lootere carries on national award-winning director Hansal Mehta’s saga of telling stories based on real-life characters or incidents. The series revolves around the lives of The Jadhavs, who migrated from Bihar to Molo in Kenya but were caught in the fierce ethnic conflicts in the country. The series is directed by Jai Mehta and stars versatile actors such as Vivek Gomber, Rajat Kapoor, Amruta Khanvilkar, Gaurav Sharma, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Preetika Chawla and others. 

Taaza Khabar, directed by Himank Gaur marks popular YouTuber Bhuvan Bam’s OTT debut, brings the story of a Mumbai-based sanitation worker’s life. The show, which also stars Shriya Pilgaonkar, JD Chakravarthy, Deven Bhojani, Prathamesh Parab and others, depicts class-based poverty and the human desire to lead a better life.

 Remembering the shoot, Nupur elaborates on an on-set incident. She says, “There was an e-rickshaw on the college campus where we were filming that would transport us from one location to another. After packing up, I sat on the back of it with a couple of crew members. Whatever it was that convinced me that I should be the rider, I pleaded with the rickshaw wale bhaiya to hand over the reins. The next
second, I was doing fantastically well, the direction team was filming fantastic slow- motion videos, and within a minute, I banged it on the curb and was catapulted 7 feet into the shrubs because of the impact. Except for my pride, no one was harmed. It was both terrifying and amusing, as well as mortifying!’”
