Investiture Ceremony @ DPS, Mahendra Hills

Telugu super news,Hyderabad,Juy 1st,2023: With the beginning of the new academic session 2023-2024 the Investiture Ceremony of DPS, Mahendra Hills was held on Saturday, 1st July 2023 with great pomp and dignity in the school premises. The event was presided over by Honorable Chief Guest Colonel Harpreet Singh, College of Defence Management Secunderabad, Guest of Honour Mr. Anup Kumar Yama Arjuna Awardee, World Skating Champion. Mr. K S Rao, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Hyderabad. Chairman Mr. M. Komariah, Director Mrs. Pallavi, COO Yashasvi Malka also graced the occasion. Principal Mrs. Nandita Sunkara and Vice Principal Mrs. I Sudha extended an affable welcome to all the invitees.

As the school celebrated its glorious 20th year, the momentous day of INVESTITURE CEREMONY dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talented students to lead the school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence

A spirit of unity and dynamism filled the air as the Grand Ceremony commenced with the Lighting of the auspicious Lamp of Knowledge followed by the soulful rendition of the School Prayer.

There was an aura of expectancy as the beaming faces of the selected student council members marched into the gathering. The student council members who were elected by the students through nominations and voting after intense rounds of interviews and campaigning were administered the oath by and were bestowed badges and sashes by the Chief Guest.  

The Principal Ms. Nandita Sunkara motivated the children to keep moving forward despite all the obstacles and challenges that life throws in front of us. She said that being a leader is a vital role and that the new Student Council would have ample responsibilities to shoulder.

Chairman, Mr. Komariah in his address stressed on spreading the light of knowledge and passing on the rich legacy of values of Discipline, Knowledge, Love and Service.

The COO of the school, Mr. Yasasvi, speaking on the occasion, congratulated the young leaders to take the baton of quality education further and make the school one of the most premier education institutions in the country

Chief Guest Colonel Harpreet Singh congratulated them and advised them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. He also exhorted them to uphold the values. He reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers and struggles help one to achieve heights.

‌The newly elected student council members of the entire school pledged to work solemnly and live up to the school motto – “Service Before Self”, with the best of their gusto, character and competence. The school head boy and school head girl shared their thoughts in their maiden speech upon taking up this valued responsibility. Also, the young leaders from EY Cambridge delivered their maiden speech.

The mesmerizing dance performance enthralled the hearts of the spectators with its beauty and grace. Following this was a showcasing and witnessing the India’s presidency – G-20 formation by the very proud DPS contingent. It was a treat to watch a power-packed aerobics drill display by the students, who exhibited the drill on the theme- Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam-One Earth, One Family, One Future.
