Gamepoint to host Pickleball Championship at GP Hitec, Hyderabad,from March 16

Telugu super news,Hyderabad, March 9th,2024: As part of its endeavor to promote Pickleball across the state of Telangana, Gamepoint will be hosting a Pickleball Championship on March 16-17, 2024 at their GP Hitec City courts.

Pickleball, a racquet sport combining elements of tennis, table tennis, and badminton, has
gained significant traction globally and as per data from the All-India Pickleball Association,
there are around 3000 registered players playing the game across 16 states in India.
Numbers from the 2023 APP Pickleball Participation Report via a study conducted by YouGov
reveal that an impressive 36.5 million people have played pickleball at least once in the last
year, underscoring its rapid growth and popularity.

Gamepoint, a prominent sports services provider has so far unveiled three premium pickleball
courts in Hyderabad, to cater to the burgeoning interest in sport.

“In Hyderabad alone, we have seen many sports enthusiasts taking up pickleball since the
launch of our state-of-art courts as the sport not only provides a good fitness regimen but is
also highly entertaining and skill based,” said Gamepoint co-founder Siddharth Reddy.
The competition will be conducted under lights in the evening for three categories – Men’s
Doubles, Mixed Doubles and Men’s Doubles 35+ with organisers providing Racquets/Paddles
for Pickleball enthusiasts.

“This two-day championship is just a beginning as this will provide all the Pickleball enthusiasts
in and around Hyderabad a platform to showcase their skills. Going forward, Gamepoint aims to
host many such events in collaboration with Pickleball Association of Telangana to promote the
game and unearth new talent,” Siddharth Reddy added.

deadline for registration is March 13th. The championship carries a total prize purse of Rs
15000.
