Matter Motor Works partners with Airtel Business for its AERA motorbikes

As part of the partnership, Airtel will enable advanced automotive grade E-Sims on all Matter AERA bikes, for which the pre-booking opened on 17th May.  In the first phase, 60,000 Matter bikes will be enabled with Airtel E- Sims with advanced IOT features, offering a smart and connected experience on Airtel’s pan-India superior network.

Matter plans to produce over 300,000 such bikes over the next three years. Airtel’s advanced IoT platform, “Airtel IoT Hub”, will help with the real time tracking of these vehicles, monitoring performance with advanced analytics while maintaining extremely high reliability augmented by telco grade security.

Airtel Business partners with the Ministry of Education to power Government of India’s Ed-Tech platform – DIKSHA

Airtel announces winners of First “Airtel IQ Hackathon”

Telugu super news,New Delhi, December 20, 2022: Bharti Airtel (“Airtel”), India’s premier communications solutions provider today announced winners of first ever “Airtel IQ” hackathon. Gurgaon based Green Receipt, Frazor BFSI from Udaipur and Delhi’s Vizard Info were declared winners by the jury. The hackathon was launched in September this year with the objective of identifying and building new- age business solutions across five key sectors of economy such as BFSI, Retail & Ecommerce, Travel and hospitality, Ed-Tech and Contact centre which can potentially improve livelihoods and contribute to the sustainable and economic growth of the country.

The Hackathon received over 9000 entries confirming participation, from students, corporates and ISV’s. These were further shortlisted to 300 then to 23 in semi-finals from which 10 teams were invited to participate in a two-round finale. The finale saw teams present their solution to a jury comprising Mr Vineeth R Nair, Director – IT, Byju’s, Ms Jigyasa Kishore, Chief Strategy Officer – Moglix and Mr Gaurav Agnihotri from Airtel.

The winners received a sum of Rs. 20 lacs as cash award and the best ideas amongst them are eligible to receive potential funding from Airtel’s Start-up accelerator program. All the participants can leverage Airtel’s core platform strengths of data, distribution, network and payments besides its partner ecosystem.

The Hackathon witnessed number of ground-breaking solutions aimed at solving real-world business and customer experience problems- from providing travel convenience, delivering English literacy curriculum to the students in the remotest locations of India, to enabling single-click payment of gas bills and others.

Airtel Business wins IoT solution mandate for Smart Meters from TPWODL

Telugu Super news,Odisha, November 2022: Bharti Airtel (Airtel), India’s premier communications solutions provider, today announced that it has won a cellular IoT solution mandate with TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited, (TPWODL), a Joint venture between Government of Odisha and Tata Power. The mandate will see Airtel power 200,000 Smart Meters with IoT solution, of which 70,000 will be delivered in the first phase.

The connectivity mandate will be augmented with Airtel’s proprietary IoT platform, “Airtel IoT Hub” which will help the utility track and monitor these smart meters with advanced analytics while maintaining extremely high reliability augmented with telco grade security. Smart metering is one of the most rapidly advancing use case for cellular IoT in India with several power distribution companies looking forward to invest in this space to prevent revenue leakage.

Smart metering is also one of the fastest growing service lines within IoT business portfolio for Airtel. The company is working with multiple state utilities in Punjab, Meghalaya, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Bihar. The Government of India has a big ambitious vision of replacing 300 million conventional meters with Smart Meters in the next 5 years as part of the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) initiative.
